Aloha!
So here I am at the airport, waiting for my flight back home. I don't know how to feel, but finally I'm all calmed down and I'd even say peacefull. These past 3(?) days I've been crying, laughing and crying again... and again. And I think I couldn't cry anymore, or I've just realised it is time to leave. It has been an Amazing period of my life, only comparable to my Camp experience, and that's why I should now let it go. I'll keep a fair few friends, and a few good memories as well. Just a few... And now I can only keep a BIG smile on my face :D
This past month has been... well, EVENTFUL. Yeah, that's definitely the word for it. But as I have to go, I'm gonna leave those stories for another moment.
So one more time (I feel like I'll never say it enough), THANKS to those who have made my exchange the best one ever. I am not even worried about seeing you guys again, I know it's just a matter of time ;) And this goes, specially, to my dear Ceci, Sara and Jenny... I'm gonna see you girls soon, just saying.
Love from Canada one last time, see you on either side of the pond!!
Definitely, Á+
This is the screens just a few minutes ago. Good thing I am finally not working at Camp (NY) this week, because obviously... I wouldn't. Mamá, tranquila, que aquí todo bien :)

#8_ And we go on and on and on
Aloha!
It's been a while. We came back from Semaine de relache and school kept going on. Mum was here for a week, even though I told her that "5 months ain't that long" ;) We had our mother-daughter time that I kind of never get since I "left" home 2 and a half years ago, which was really nice. Also my uncle and aunt came for 5 days, so we had sort of a family reunion on this side of the pond. They did a couple of excursions while I stayed here to go to uni, good times.
Their last night here we had a Spanish dinner at home with special Italian guests. Sopa de ajo, tortilla de patata, a good salad... Oh, how I miss Spanish food. That's probably what I miss the most (ok, that and my two little cousins Inés and Teresa, grandparents and my lil sister Blanca a little bit, but that's it). And then the next day mum cooked for me (thanks mum!). You have no idea how good it feels to have some real home-made food for lunch at uni... mMmMmmmmm. And now I'm gonna go on and talk about something that is not food.
So appart from the visits, I have pretty much been living at uni. I had a presentation on wednesday, and after that I haven't done that much, just to compensate for all the work I'd been doing (hey, at the end of the day I'm an exchange student!). I thought about going somewhere for the weekend, but then decided I'd rather stay and enjoy Montreal. And oh, so worth it. It's been an amazing weekend to be fair, starting by the usual 5à9 at faculté de l'Aménagement on thursday -I can proudly say that I've been to every single one of them so far-, followed by 5à9 Poly on friday, tango lessons on saturday (yeah, I said tango lessons) + party at Sara's (wohoo what a party!) + after party at a... ehm... random place, where I kept playing the "capitals game", what a geek I am... oops! And to finish in an easy way, Italian/international dinner at Mauro's and a shisha to say bye to a weekend that has been one of the most fun lately.
And now, time to go back to work. Here are some graphic testimonies of what I said above. À+!

#7_ Semaine de relache: NYC and Boston
Aloha one and all,
Well, where to start. The "Semaine de relache" (aka no class for a week) just finished. For what I can remember, the previous week was intense, lots of work to do before leaving Montreal for a week. And oh, what a week.
The trip (once again with my two italians of course) started a friday night on a bus terminal. We were so scared of missing the last bus to NY that we got there 2 hours in advance, which is incredibly rare being me. And so we were so early that we took a previous bus straight away and got to NY (after 7h) at 4:30am. Great. I always knew being early is pointless, here's the proof. As we had nothing better to do we just slept at Port Authority for a couple of hours, ad then headed to Sturbucks to start planing our days there.
The hostel was pretty well located and we had a 6 beds room for the three of us most of the nights, which was great. And, my favourite: surrounded by pizza places, but not regular ones, oh no. 1$ slices, and .50$ coffe. Never have I ever eaten pizza so many times, literally, even for breakfast (1,5$ for breakfast, how could I not).
We spent 5 days in NYC. It was great. Really great. We did as tourists do for the first couple of days, well maybe the others too. But some days we split to do different stuff, and I could enjoy that feeling of being in Central Park early in the morning, getting lost there when there is barely anyone else. Gotta love the feeling. Also, this time I managed to see some friends, which made the trip worth it. I've been to places I'd never been to before, and I have to say, it was amazing :)
NYC left me a bitter-sweet feeling, but oh well, I'll be back... And the trip went on. BOSTON. First time there, and I liked it from the very first moment. A lot smaller and a lot more quiet than what I expected, to be honest. Definitely in a good way. In three days there we just walked around and enjoyed the city, without looking at the map too much (it was a terrible map so we could barely understand it anyway). We saw the main atractions, though I'm sure we saw a lot more than we realised but didn't know. So in resume, Boston left me a really good impresion, and I can tell I could live in a place like that. Maybe when I go to Harvard. HA. Just kidding, Anyway I thought Harvard was no big deal, so good for me that I don't wanna go there, I'll keep the 45000$ a year that it costs to myself (I mean, if I had them...).
And so, to finish this up, I've had SUCH a great time that it was hard to come back to (an already white) Montreal. But don't get me wrong, I LOVE Montreal. And now, getting back to the swing of things. Oh wait, and waiting for some visitors that arrive this weekend. Mum decided a couple of days ago that she's coming visit for a week - and she will be here this friday! With decisions/ plans like this, you can tell I'm her daughter :) Also my uncle and aunt will be here, so it'll be a good excuse to go around a bit.

# 6_ Nada nuevo bajo el Sol
Salut!
This week has been quite a lot more quiet -which is good sometimes. I love the fact that uni is open 24/7, so we can meet at school some evenings and weekends, which is the case right now, and make it a bit less boring :) Other than that, been babysitting a little hyperactive 3-year-old, which I happened to like a lot from the first day, but it was only a one weekend thing. At the same time, my flat mates in Barcelona celebrated our flat's "1st Bday" with a live concert as last year. Marta did an amazing poster for it, and a little entry on her blog :)
Lectures week starts next weekend, so the plan for the next days is, work work work so we are free then, and finish planning our NYC-Boston trip. Cecilia, Sara and me, of course. The italian-spanish team.
I haven't taken any interesting pics this week, but here are some anyway.

# 5_ Thanks giving weekend
Ciao!
Back to work after a long weekend of sightseeing and partying... We can say it's been a busy weekend starting from the sacred 5à7 on thursday (4/4 so far), followed by nights out, visits to the Old Port and downtown, Jardin Botanique, Jean-Talon's market; Jenny (my coloq')'s birthday, mexican food and surrounded by the usual bunch of exchange students... Can't complain. I was having a great time so far, but now it's being amazing =D. But it's time to work now,

# 4_ It's not all about winter
Salut!
Some pics to prove it's not all about the cold here as it seems to be. For the first time ever I am liking Autumn and might actually stop considering it a useless season in betwen summer and winter. At least here in Canada, where as corny as it souds, the sun light and colors are just amazing...
Also, there is quite a good offer of stuff to do, so keeping ourselves busy. :) Last Sunday = Piknic Electronik!
