#8_ And we go on and on and on

Aloha!

It's been a while. We came back from Semaine de relache and school kept going on. Mum was here for a week, even though I told her that "5 months ain't that long" ;) We had our mother-daughter time that I kind of never get since I "left" home 2 and a half years ago, which was really nice. Also my uncle and aunt came for 5 days, so we had sort of a family reunion on this side of the pond. They did a couple of excursions while I stayed here to go to uni, good times.
Their last night here we had a Spanish dinner at home with special Italian guests. Sopa de ajo, tortilla de patata, a good salad... Oh, how I miss Spanish food. That's probably what I miss the most (ok, that and my two little cousins Inés and Teresa, grandparents and my lil sister Blanca a little bit, but that's it). And then the next day mum cooked for me (thanks mum!). You have no idea how good it feels to have some real home-made food for lunch at uni... mMmMmmmmm. And now I'm gonna go on and talk about something that is not food.

So appart from the visits, I have pretty much been living at uni. I had a presentation on wednesday, and after that I haven't done that much, just to compensate for all the work I'd been doing (hey, at the end of the day I'm an exchange student!). I thought about going somewhere for the weekend, but then decided I'd rather stay and enjoy Montreal. And oh, so worth it. It's been an amazing weekend to be fair, starting by the usual 5à9 at faculté de l'Aménagement on thursday -I can proudly say that I've been to every single one of them so far-, followed by 5à9 Poly on friday, tango lessons on saturday (yeah, I said tango lessons) + party at Sara's (wohoo what a party!) + after party at a... ehm... random place, where I kept playing the "capitals game", what a geek I am... oops! And to finish in an easy way, Italian/international dinner at Mauro's and a shisha to say bye to a weekend that has been one of the most fun lately.

And now, time to go back to work. Here are some graphic testimonies of what I said above. À+!
